If you live in Austin, it’s hard not to love Barton Springs. The opportunity to work for Barton Springs Conservancy was a blast and (hopefully) made this beautiful city just a bit better and more beautiful.
Custom type headlines and vintage Barton Springs photos were turned into post cards that event guest could take home and send to friends to help rally them to the cause. The same graphics were used as large scale banners throughout the event also.
With the “For the Love of the Springs” brand message established and now recognizable among the Barton Springs community, the next push was created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Barton Springs Bathhouse which coincided with the birthday of Luci Baines Johnson, daughter of President LBJ and a generous supporter of Barton Springs Conservancy.
Complementary designs were created for a pair of events: a public “Splash” at Barton Springs and a fundraising “Bash” at the historic Driskill Hotel. Inspired by the many decades the bathhouse has been a part of the Austin landscape, retro custom typography and illustrations were designed to promote each event. The events maintained there unique identities through branding, advertising, event collateral, public relations efforts, and more.
